NW Idea House Progress Update #1
Clyde Hill Modern Tranquility
A well-anticipated progress update on one of our Northwest Idea Houses, “Clyde Hill Modern Tranquility”, has arrived.
When beginning a home build, architects design renderings to give us a shadow of what the final product will look like alongside floor plans and other architectural drawings for direction. We will get to the final product, but for now, the shell.
For this Idea House, we’re beginning to see the rendering come to life. With framing complete, you can see the outline of the house (minus the exterior finishes and paint – which will come much later).
Walking through the house, you can see that electrical and mechanical installation is wrapping up. For those new to the construction process, it’s common to build a temporary staircase for easy access to the above floors during construction. That’s why you see a staircase currently splitting what will become the great room and kitchen space.
While chatting with our Project Manager, Mark, he gave us a glimpse into what the next steps will be. “We’ll be starting drywall in a couple of weeks,” Mark says. “Interior finishes like tile and millwork/cabinets will follow after.”
Stay tuned as more details of the Clyde Hill Modern Tranquility Idea House come together.
Both homes are on track for a fall completion so stay tuned as we provide updates throughout construction.
